Just Breathe

Before you speak, act or make and important decision, stop and breathe.

It not only helps you to relax to make the best choice possible, but it invites Spirit into your energy. This increases the possibility that your next action will be taken from a place of love.

You can envision Divine light and energy coming in through your crown chakra as you inhale. Allow negativity and fear to exit on the exhale.

Make this a habit and your life will be a calmer more beautiful place.

What Did You Learn?

As we enjoy this brief pause between holidays, it is a good time to evaluate the events of the past year.

It's not guilt or competition, just information. What did this past year teach you? What gifts did it bring? What direction do you want your life to take next?

If this is a challenge, call in your Angels to help you remember and make suggestions for ways to improve your life.

Life is meant to be enjoyed and all of Heaven is on your side. The odds are completely stacked in your favor. All you have to do is suit up and follow the guidance of your Heavenly coaches.

Now go out there and win!

The Power of Responsibility

In any given disagreement or argument, the ego's first step is to place the blame upon the other: "You couldn't help it! It was her fault!"

This outward focus takes away your power. Go back and think, "What could I have done differently?"

You may not see much that you could change, or the responsibility might fall mostly upon you. Either way, you learn and grow and gain more tools and resources for future interactions with others.

You are not blaming yourself, you are taking responsibility for your own actions. With great responsibility comes great power! Good for you! Remember to wield it wisely!

The Holiday Rush

Holiday energies can feel crazy sometimes.

The Earth is trying to rest and we feel a natural pull to do the same. Yet, holiday preparations can be hurried and stressful.

Stop and take a deep breath. Feel the protective wings of your Angels wrap around you. Spend a few minutes in your own energy.

This is who you are.

You are not your family, your co-workers or your neighbors. You are not the perfect postcard-printable Christmas celebration.

You are Divine, you are loved. Nothing else matters.

United in Celebration

Many of the traditions we associate with the holiday of Christmas, have deeper pagan roots, just as Angels appear across religious boundaries as helpers, healers and messengers.

Ancient Pagans held elaborate celebrations to inspire those who were frightened or depressed by the absence of the sun and warmth. Some scholars say that the "sun" became replaced with the "son" and gave rise to Mithraism and Christianity.

Celebrations were also held to honor the birth of the Oak King and to mark the time and day of the Winter Solstice.

This doesn't lesson the celebration but instead unites the children of the Divine in a celebration of hope and light. That is the greatest gift of all.

How Should You Celebrate?

Holidays can be a time of great stress. This is made worse by people who tell you how you "should" celebrate and what you "should" be celebrating.

When I was more religious, the holiday focus was on Jesus and the miracle of his birth. I've since learned that celebrations have taken place for centuries before the Nativity. Our current "customs" come from a variety of sources, many of them old pagan traditions.

That doesn't mean we shouldn't celebrate, just understand that holiday traditions have evolved over time and so no one can be said to celebrate, the right or wrong way.

Still many are adamant and argue that only "traditional" holiday celebrations should be allowed and that we should all accept them as they see fit.

When this happens thank them for their input and continue to celebrate as you see fit. No one can ruin your holiday experience without your permission.

My friend here seems to agree.

Naughty and Nice

Spiritual work is not all serious. The Angels have a high vibration and they love it when you "lighten up." A bit of fun that harms no one can lift your spirits so you can fly with them.
It's okay to show your naughty side as long as you keep things "nice."

A Peaceful Heart

Peace, whether between individuals or nations, begins within.

You cannot make peace by force or aggression.

Peace comes from a peaceful heart that inspires peace in those around them.

Take a breath and ask your Angels what a peaceful heart feels like. Do this often and peace will become not only a habit but an addiction.

You will find yourself living, breathing and acting from this place of peace.

Blessings in disguise

It is one of egos special tricks to shift the blame away from you when something goes wrong. This takes away your power to change and improve, to make amends and allow forgiveness.

We have been taught by religion and learning institutions to view our errors with shame. They want us to embrace that our mistakes are a part of us and a reflection of our inadequacy. Nothing could be farther from the truth.

Mistakes are a powerful learning experience and a big part of the human one. Do not be ashamed, be informed. Make changes and move on. Mistakes are simply blessings in disguise.

Blessed are the Children

I love inspiring children to follow their dreams. Many of my clients have problems that started in childhood.

The words we hear and the actions we observe as children can have an impact that lasts a lifetime.

What if, instead of being shamed, you were educated about the effects of your actions on others? What if your mistakes were shown to you as opportunities for growth?

How much easier would your life be now?

When you see a child, smile at them. Give them an approving nod, wink or pat on the back when you can. Let them know that the world is a good place.

Happy Hanukkah!

This is the final night of Hanukkah for 2015. Honoring the spiritual traditions of others does not diminish your beliefs and traditions. In fact, kindness towards others is a common belief in all spiritual traditions.

Happy Hanukkah for those who celebrate it! For most spiritual traditions, this is a season of light, hope and peace during dark times.

If someone wishes you a Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, Blessed Yule or Merry Christmas, say, "Thank you!"

Kind words have a good vibration in any language.

The Gift

When you forgive another, you recognize that they are not their words or actions.

You give them the space to reveal more of their magnificent soul and less of their ego.

This is an amazing gift. Giving this gift costs you nothing, but reveals to the world, the magnificent soul that you are.

All forgiveness is self-forgiveness, all forgiveness is Divine and sets you free from a few more of the ties that have been holding you back.

Your Angels can help you with this as they can see beyond the ego costumes we wear on Earth and help you to understand the Divinity we all carry with us.

The Cleansing of Forgiveness

One of the least appreciated spiritual practices is forgiveness. Forgiveness (of self and others) is like taking a spiritual bath.

It cleanses the soul and leaves you feeling light and refreshed. Give yourself the gift of forgiveness every day for every little thing.

Daily maintenance will keep your soul squeaky clean and make you feel energized and you will attract many happy souls into your circle.

To Win or Not to Win

The idea that we must have winners and losers to bring more quality and greatness to the world is another form of duality.

To win or not win is not a judgment but a fact, like being blue or red, wet or dry. You may have a preference, but both have merit.

To win, gives you an opportunity to practice humility and appreciation. This is something we are not taught in youth sports. This is surprisingly difficult for some people, but if this part of the game is not mastered, then the "win" is only superficial.

To not win gives you a valuable learning opportunity to learn and hone your skills. To be gracious for the opportunity to participate and to see where there is room to grow.

When you enter a competition, ask your Angels for the wisdom to do your best and for no one to be harmed in any way. Be grateful for the opportunity to play the game.

You may win or not win, but either way, your heavenly teammates stand proudly beside you, hoisting you on their mighty shoulders in victory.

Follow Your Heart

It is a common misconception that "following your heart" is irresponsible and will get you in trouble.

Your heart will never lead you astray. It is your ego that says, "Buy this, date this person, eat this dessert, or your life will not be complete."

Your heart wants the most perfect, beautiful expression of your soul to be expressed in your physical body.

It is where the Divine inside you dwells, and it will speak to you if you choose to listen.

A Home for the Divine

Some spiritual traditions teach that the body and physical world are not important.

The stress is on the soul and communion with the Divine in whatever form it takes.

Your body could not exist if not for the tiny spark of the Divine that resides within it.

Think of your body as a house, mansion or temple. If you were having an important guest staying over, would you not keep it clean and clutter free? Would you make scheduled repairs on time?

This is not about fat or skinny shaming. It is about feeling healthy and peaceful. Healthy bodies come in different shapes and sizes. It is up to you to decide how you want to care for your Divine temple.

If you ask your Angels for help, they will guide you to the food and exercise program that is perfect for you.

Time to get ready! Company's here!

Spiritual Training

In last night's class we learned the importance of meditation, both for protection and for becoming more receptive to the guidance of your Angels and guides.

Meditation is like training your body for the big race. It takes discipline to sit down and be quiet, but it helps you to recognize your own energy and to build your spiritual "muscles" so that you can explore your gifts safely.

If you ask a question, the answer will be given. If you want to hear it, you have to be quiet and listen.

Be Happy!

Feeling happy and healthy is your natural state. If you are feeling any other way then something is wrong.

Your Angels can help you to pinpoint problems and guide you to change your thoughts, your diet or lifestyle to get back to where you belong.

Don't worry, be happy! Angelic assistance is close at hand!

Divine Within

Always remember that in your heart, there is a tiny spark of the Divine.

The Divine loves you so much she/he sent powerful beings known as Angels to protect, guide and comfort you.

You are the Goddess/God dressed up and experiencing life as you. That is your job and you are doing it perfectly.

All mistakes are learning, all learning is Divine.

There is nothing you can do to change that.

The next time you feel unworthy or unloved, re-read this and know that it is true.

Before You Speak......

Before you speak in anger, at the very least, take a breath.

Walk away if you can, do something to raise your vibration before talking about what is bothering you. Speaking when you're angry gives your ego the floor and that rarely goes well.

As you release your anger about the situation, you may decide that it wasn't as bad as you thought or you may resolve it on your own and decide that there is nothing more to say about it.

This is the path that leads to peace.

Breathe, relax, consider your words, then speak.
