Making your request is the first step, then you must sit back and listen.
You will, if you pay close attention, hear the voices of your guides and Angels about what actions you should take to achieve your goal.
Most people make it to step one. A few stick around to achieve step two, but only a few dedicated souls make it to step three: Taking those actions.
If you asked someone's advice, then never took it, how likely are they to continue helping you. Think about it. The Angels have all the time in the world to wait.
