In
any given disagreement or argument, the ego's first step is to place
the blame upon the other: "You couldn't help it! It was her fault!"
This outward focus takes away your power. Go back and think, "What could I have done differently?"
You may not see much that you could change, or the responsibility might fall mostly upon you. Either way, you learn and grow and gain more tools and resources for future interactions with others.
You are not blaming yourself, you are taking responsibility for your own actions. With great responsibility comes great power! Good for you! Remember to wield it wisely!
