The Hunter's Moon

A nearly full moon will illuminate the sky as we celebrate the sabbat of Samhain or Halloween as most people have come to know it.

In ancient times, Samhain would have been celebrated in conjunction with the full moon, but our modern calendar has the days a bit off. No worries, it is the energy that you work with, not the chronology. The full moon will be giving off a powerful energy on the evening of Samhain that can be used to release and transform (eye of newt, not required).

In the Native American culture, this moon was the Hunter’s moon. It marked the final hunt before the cooler, winter months when food was likely to be scarce.

The wise hunter/gatherer pulls together all of the resources needed to survive the winter months so that they can relax and celebrate knowing that all will be well in Spring. As storage space will be at a premium, it is also a good time to release that which you no longer need. This includes both physical and emotional needs. Let it go! You have enough, you are enough!

Each full moon pulls together two astrological signs. For this moon, they are stable, homebody Taurus and dark, mysterious Scorpio.

You can use the best qualities of both signs for your personal growth. The sun in Scorpio illuminates the dark things that have been hiding. They may scurry about and make you feel off as they are exposed for the silly fears that they really are, but the strength of the Bull will keep you on your feet as this release occurs.

Most people who get stuck in their healing process, are fearful of what is lurking in the dark, hidden parts of themselves. Lower your horns and be brave. You are not here to suffer, but to love, learn, and play. When you release the fears that have held you back, you make room for a wonderful, new life and a great year ahead.

The full moon sings to us like a benevolent siren begging for us to release our burdens and worries.

Let them go. You are safe, you are well and in the stable sign of Taurus, you are home.

HONORING YOUR TEMPLE

Sometimes we need to stop and just take some time for ourselves. I try to take a day a week to do this, but don’t always manage it. Monday’s are normally my days for this.

I usually drive to the Beach to see Karen Walsh and she does a lymphatic facial on me. This is not really a facial, but benefits like one…and beyond. Along with the Spiritual work I do, this weekly practice (going on 15 weeks now) is taking me back in time. It clears the lymphatic system in my face and neck, so is healthy and makes me look younger.

The other day, she added the Ionic foot de-tox. It is a medical grade and she knows her stuff. I could feel the energy in my feet during the process and a positive shift in my body afterwards

What is so cool about this all is that it is possible to do these things for yourself. Karen only charges $30 for the foot de-tox and the same for the facials. She also offers them in packages, so they become an affordable way to honor your temple.

During the next few weeks you will feel more of the influence of Taurus. That is for grounding and caring for yourself and home. Take some time to commit to respecting yourself by doing special things for your temple.

INDIGOS AWAKEN TO THE WARRIOR WAY

This Taurus moon deals with issues regarding sensuality and money. It has the power to assist us in grounding our energies and learning to slow down so we can enjoy all aspects the world has to offer.

It is also yet another force that is awakening the Indigo Children…no matter their age. These are people whom are gifted on a deep spiritual level with intuition and healing. They don’t fit in this world of unfair rules. Though they may have closed down their spiritual gifts for a time, it now waking up….sometimes with an almost fierce force.

They have felt anger and frustration at injustice. They see right through people who use passive aggressive behaviors to manipulate people around them. They feel other people’s deep emotional pain. They are hearing messages from the angels and those on the other side. When they meet people, even for the first time, they are able to tell if the person has a hidden agenda or a pure heart.

As these Indigos begin to have their ‘lights turned on’, it can be overwhelming. They find their true friends are few, as many people cannot handle the intense energy of an Indigo. Especially one that no longer asleep. This leaves them feeling very alone.

To compound measures, most Indigo’s past lives are a mixture of being healers and being warriors. In today’s society, this seems to be a dichotomy. It is the job and challenge of the Indigo Children to mesh the two into one. The world desperately needs that now.

As we draw boundaries, we heal. As we teach others to draw boundaries, they heal. As they learn to heal from the inside out, they draw boundaries, so to never be hurt in that way again. This is the Warrior Way. It is not easy, but it is necessary in order to begin to bring balance to this world.

As we do this, we will cause ripples. We will upset the status quo. Yes, sometimes we may be harsher than necessary. Those that walk in the Light, will understand and love us anyway, without judgment or condemnation.

We attempt always to walk in Light and Love. We allow others to be who they need to be. If we cannot resonate with their energy after we have spoken our truth to them, we are given only one choice. We walk away and brush the dust from our sandals as did the great Master Jesus when a town rejected his message of love.

Then we follow the light of love to a place where people are ready for the message of the Indigos…the message of the Warriors of Light. “Love all, Serve all”
