Being in the now is very important. If you put things off, you might miss the magic life has to offer. This was brought to my attention yesterday as Tim and I traveled to Universal Studios for a day of fun.
Just before arriving we decided to make a ‘pit stop’ at a cool looking McDonalds. Even the bathrooms were awesome. The whole place had a wonderful atmosphere. We considered going on and catching it on our way back from Universal. But we noticed there were Belgium waffles with strawberries and whipped cream on the menu!
So we ordered our treat and meandered over to a quiet area away from the game tables and arcade games. Sitting next to a waterfall bubbling, we looked up to see our heads protected by greenery interwoven into the ceiling. Suddenly, old time music began playing in our area. It came from the ‘Man in the Moon’ sitting at a piano just at the top of the waterfall. His lips moved as he sang and played the piano.
Yes…it was a puppet creature with piped in music…but I chose to see the magic. Here I was sitting at McDonalds, sharing a fancy waffle with my beloved. We were being serenaded by the Man in the Moon as we sat under a canopy of vines next to a waterfall!
I was grateful we took the time to stop and enjoy the magic. When we left Universal after an equally magical day…we were rerouted a different direction and never even saw that amazing McDonalds.
One never knows what life will bring to you. Take the time to enjoy it as it flows across your path. For it may never appear again!
