Excerpt from Archangel Anael's words in Angel Whispers, A Journey Into the World of the Earth's Oldest Guardians.
"The most important thing for us (Angels) to do is to teach about unconditional love. We use our energies to “rise above” the hate and misconceptions and love people in their ignorance. We teach you how to join us in that flight of freedom and joy.
Unconditional Love is letting go of control. One must let go of control and let each person follow their own path. Allow them to dance their own dance.
When you love someone regardless of their feelings for you and regardless of what they choose to do with their life, you have taken the step towards unconditional love. Think about how many times you have told someone, “I love you no matter what, I just want you to be happy.” You think you are showing unconditional love. However, as soon as you say, “I just want you to be happy” you put conditions on your love.
You must be able to say,”I love you not matter what, whether you are happy or sad, rich or poor, like me or hate me. I simply love you.” Being attached to their reactions to you causes you to step back into control, thereby getting off the track of unconditional love.
This is hardest to do with family. We think we know what is best for them and try to control them by telling them we just want them to be happy. Instead, just love them with no judgments on the path they choose to walk. It is their journey and their lesson. Why would you want to take that from them?"
