There are so many shifting energies right now. It brings a sense of urgency for me to finish Angel Whispers: Messages of Hope from the Angels. This is one of the stories/parables that will be included that I have been led to share with you all now.
The goal date for Angel Whispers publication is two months out. Sending you Angel Love and Hope.
She carefully fitted the angel wings on her back. Flexing her back and shoulders they moved gracefully. With each breath she took joy flooded her spirit as she felt them grow stronger and stronger. She had watched her friends flying high above her head, unburdened by earthly cares. This had driven her to call to one of them.
“Sue, please help me. I want to fly with you!” she had shouted out.
Sue paused in her effortless flight and dove to land close by. “I can only help you if you are willing to let go,” came Sue’s response.
She had been elated! “Yes, yes, I will let go,” Becky had replied.
“Okay, here, take these,” Sue had said.
She handed Becky a beautiful pair of sparkling white angel wings.
“The rest is up to you,” Sue said with a bright smile as she winged flight to the heavens once more.
Now Becky was overjoyed. At last, she too could fly high and have no worries!
Her elation was short-lived as her wings beating furiously against the air barely lifted her from the ground. Confused as to why she was not able to lift off as effortlessly as her friend. She called out, “I can’t get into the air! What is wrong?”
Sue paused in her flight, hovering for a moment and called back, “I told you to let go, my dear one.”
Becky looked around wondering what she was to let go of. Seeing nothing she again tried to take flight. Her wings were beating the air so strongly that a few feathers fell to the ground. Looking down at the feathers, she became aware of the chain around her ankle. It had been there as long as she remembered, so she was used to not paying much attention to it. It was locked in place with a huge and heavy padlock.
Thoughts quickly passed through Becky’s mind, “Was that what Sue wanted her to let go of? It was locked. How could she possibly let go?”
Her attention was drawn to the things on the other end of the chain. They were various items that represented her life and thought patterns. Her feelings of needing to be in control, worries about her future, and poor self esteem were all anchored on the chain. Sure she wanted to change that, but it was padlocked to her leg! Didn’t Sue see there was nothing she could do about it?
She looked up and caught sight of Sue again. She called, “Sue, there is nothing to let go of, it is padlocked to my leg! I can’t take off.”
With that said Becky felt the tears of desperation well up and threaten to flow down her face.
Sue’s voice flowed softly on the winds, “It is in your hand, Let go! You are holding on too tight and only hurting yourself.”
That was all it took for the tears to stream down her face as if a dam had been opened.
“How could Sue be so cruel?” Becky wondered. “Did she give her wings just to tease her?”
The tears continued to pour and Becky reached up with her hand to wipe them away. As she did so she was aware of a sharp pain in her palm. Wiping the tears caused the pain to intensify.
Then she noticed that her hand was tightly clinched around something. She tried to relax and open her hand, but it was closed firmly. Even using her other hand she couldn’t open it.
With a mounting frustration she held her fist to the sky and called out, “Help me, please!”
In the next moment she heard the fluttering of wings and felt a soft kiss on her hand. She looked up into the eyes of the most beautiful angel she had even seen. Tingles of energy surged through her body as peace and relaxation flooded through her.
“The rest is up to you, my love,” the melodic voice of the angel sang in her ears. “You have the key, now use it.” In the next instant the angel disappeared from her sight.
As Becky brought her arm down, she looked into her now relaxed and open hand.
She gasped as she saw the shiny key in her sore palm. Now she understood about letting go. Allowing the peace of the angels to enter her had relaxed her enough to release her controlling grip on the key. She had always held the key to her freedom.
With trembling hand she fitted the key into the padlock. A slight turn and soft click released the lock as the chain fell from her ankle. Her wings again began to fan the air. As she began to rise into the air, tears flooded her face. This time they were tears of grateful joy. She had never felt this lightness in her spirit and body.
Becky flew to her and took Sue’s hands in hers. “Welcome, my sister,” her exuberant words filled the air. “You have finally claimed your birthright and now fly with the angels!”
